1.2 - Levels of Organization
The anatomy and physiology of organisms can be studied at different levels of organization. Each level of organization has the emergent properties of all the previous levels of organization.

In anatomy and physiology, there are six basic levels of organization:

Molecular
  • Atoms are the particles of specific elements, and combine to form more complex molecules. Different molecules have properties that determine how they interact with other molecules.
Cellular Tissue
  • Tissues are composed of many cells working together for a common purpose.
