Introduction to Mobile Classroom

What is it?
As more programs at Algonquin go mobile, there are a number of new teaching technologies available.
In this session, we will cover mobile related topics while demonstrating equipment and software available to support learning and teaching within a mobile classroom.
Why do I need it?
Is your program going mobile? You are bound to have many questions. What is a mobile program at Algonquin? What does “going mobile” mean for students and faculty? What can faculty expect to have within a typical mobile classroom? What are key ideas to know for getting students connected and engaged within a mobile learning environment? This session will touch on these topics.
What I am going to get out of this session?
This workshop will review hardware such as: Extron eclassroom Control System, SMART Podiums, HP Touchscreen Monitors, and troubleshooting.

Advanced Mobile Classroom Techniques (Prerequisites: Introduction to Mobile Classroom)

What is it?
This session builds on the previous introduction to mobile classroom. Now that you have completed Introduction to the Mobile Classroom, we will explore additional tools for engaging students and managing your mobile classroom
Why do I need it?
You have an opportunity to enhance your educational technologies skills and learn more about mobile classroom.
What I am going to get out of this session?
You will have a chance to experience programs, such as Join.me, Ink2go, as well as other interactive tools and activities. You will also have a change to brainstorm additional activities with assistance and feedback from your colleagues.
